Give me your money and play my game!
(edit: Oblivio is no longer available on the App Store. Womp Womp.)
After, almost two years since its inception, Oblivio is now available in its entirety on the Apple App Store. Overall, it’s a good feeling. To put things into perspective (and partially justify a whole two years for such a simple game), before I started this I knew nothing about any C-based languages and I didn’t own an ipod of any kind. So really, it’s been a massive learning experience. Although I doubt it will bring me much money, if any at all, it is kinda nice to know that I made something on my own and that that something is out there. At the same time it’s nerve wrecking to think about strangers I’ll never meet playing my game and wondering if they’ll think it’s any good.
From this point forward, I think I want to focus on writing down my own game design theories and putting together some design documents I’ve been stewing over for a while. I have a lot of ideas and some of them might even be good. I suppose we’ll see.
